Aghada Hall House,
Welcome to the New Look website for Patchwork Plus designed and run by my talented daughter, Sorcha.
In my weekly blog I hope to keep you updated with my new fabrics, notions and projects.
I had a very busy summer running some very exciting workshops. These a Paper Pieced Stars were made by the Kerry Branch of the IPS.
This is a fun workshop ensuring perfect points in a complex looking block. See how different they can look depending on the fabric choices.
We made some really pretty and useful bags with charm packs or 6.5″ squares at one of the workshops at the local Community Centre. These are reversable bags so you can have two looks from the one bag!
Sewing Accessory Bags was the topic for another workshop. Don’t you love the results? Â Very useful and compact. Fits all your regular sewing tools.
Keep an eye out for my Autumn workshops which will include making a carrier bag for your board and ruler.
This summer unfortunately brought about the closure of the Courtyard Gallery and as a result a closing of my shop there. As a result I have revamped my shop out in Aghada and have new opening hours. It is always worth giving me a call and I will accommodate a visit to my shop as best I can.
This week I am very excited to welcome a quilting and stitching group from Canada. They will be here Tuesday afternoon for a spot of shopping, a good Irish welcome and a show and tell. If you fancy coming along give me a call at 0877986872
Settling everybody back to school and college so have not much time for sewing. I have found lots of inspiration from my recent clear out so keep posted for the final results.
Talk to you next week,
